Sir Spice began in 2003 under the name of Pepper-Passion.  The company was formed as an expression of a passionate interest in cooking with hot spices.
Our first products centered around providing the largest variety and highest quality of peppercorns to be found anywhere.  We sell only whole peppercorns and distinct varietals.  Why?  Because there is no such thing as “gourmet ground pepper” (unless you ground it yourself within the preceding 30 minutes!), and because each growing region for pepper has a distinct terroir and flavor characteristics just like wine or coffee.

Finding these pure varieties is not easy.  Most of the world has ignored the United States as a market for premium spices, as we have become accustomed to price driven products and low quality.  Your taste buds might get a wake-up call after you try our products!

In 2016, we decided to change our name from Pepper Passion to Sir Spice.  Over the past 11 years, we’ve discovered amazing spices from all over the globe, and we want to share them with our customers.  We only purchase them from reputable suppliers who import legal and sustainably harvested spices (we buy organic and Fair Trade when we can).  The pleasure of cooking and enjoying the best spices in the world should not be a guilty one!
